THE FILM
Ivy; The Ugly Game (2022) is a short film short in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape by a group of young film makers who wish to tell stories through film.
The Ugly Game (2022) deals with a rapper that is trying to achieve financial and personal success by releasing his first official mixtape. He struggles with the personal and inner conflict that comes with his personal responsibility and individual ambitions as he takes on the task of achieving his goal. The project is also emotionally relevant as it explores the depths of human nature and how we as people can be self-centered and deluded when pursuing a task.

The film stars 6 wonderful actors; Avela Mboniswa playing the role of a protagonist 'IV' alongside our second protagonist Colinique Douglas who plays the role of 'Blossom' his baby momma. Zolisa Kondile as Lungile, Thembalethu Kojana as Goliath, Ukho Mbangeli as James and Lihleli Williams as Lixx.

The primary target audience we identified is Xhosa speaking male students aged between 18-22 who enjoy real-life dramas.
